Back to the youth cup today against Team Gryphon who we played last week in the league. Let me start by saying well done to the lads for the excellent result last week in the hard thought match. Today we have a couple of absentees in important positions luckily we have a great squad.
Adam Watson has come back today to play in goal in the absent of Ellis Cowler and with the suspension of Adam Cutler we didn't start as i would have liked going a goal down after the first 4min's the alarm bells rang after the first 30seconds when their centre-forward had a one on one with our keeper only to make a fine save. The first 15min's we didn't turn out but our first attack Lee Green ran through the heart of their defence with the keeper to beat only to be let down with his first touch the keeper claimed. After getting our composure back we finally started to play on 16min's a nice move from the back Jamie Minett played into Jamie Mowlem then into Censen Yilmaz who then Crossed into the Sonny Cook who saw the advancing keeper coming towards him and with a delightful chip over the keeper into an empty net 1-1 nice move boys. We had the momentum and after receiving a free-kick on 22min's Ross Hampton-Brown floated the ball into Lee Green in the box chipped the ball over the keeper before being clattered by the advancing keeper 2-1. After the restart Team gryphon kick the ball towards our goal Liam Bourke totally missed timed the interception and their centre-forward ran through on goal Bourkie got up and ran back and made one of his two great challenges of the day to stop the lad from scoring (Bourkie excellent defending). After another nice interplay down the left resorting in a corner 33min's in a short corner by Aaron Gutteridge into Scott Woodford who saw Sonny Cook unmarked just inside the 18yard box who struck a lovely effort towards goal only to go straight to the keeper, The game was evenly balanced heading towards half time. H-T 2-1
At the break it was important to tell the lads excellent character to turn the game around because it was so easy to drop their heads after going a goal down.
Within a couple min's of the restart Aaron Gutteridge played the ball into Sonny Cook who crossed into the box for Lee Green and with a driving header under the keeper 3-1. On 50min's the goal of the game from Jamie Mowlem after a quick thinking throwing by Lee Green into the path of Jamie who was about 25yards out on the left handside of the area and hit an unstoppable volley right into the corner of the net keeper just stood and watched in amazement 4-1.
Another great goal on 57min's great inter-play between Censen Yilmaz and Sonny Cook who crossed another excellent ball into the box to see Aaron Gutteridge react first to the ball and shot from 15yards out to fire home (you know whats coming next) and turned and ran like a chicken thats just had its head chopped off for the whole length of the pitch to celebrate (what a nutter) 5-1.

The moment of the game came on 65min's when Jamie Minett unfortunately made a bad challenge on one of Team Gryphons player and to my amazement as well as everyone else's the ref sent the wrong player off (bad decision ref).

After just coming on Jamie Sherwood combined with Censen Yilmaz down the right side played the ball into Lee Green who dribbled around four players in the box to fire home his HAT-TRICK ( Well Done Son) 6-1. Two min's later Charlie Martin was about 20yards out received the ball and hit an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner of the net nearly a good as Jamie Mowlems goal 7-1. Lee scored his forth goal of the afternoon on 80min's.
Lee green was in an unstoppable form this afternoon and was brought down in the box on 85min's (penalty) up stepped Charlie Martin to score at the second attempt 9-1. FULL TIME
Managers thoughts another excellent performance how can i complain after a result like this the whole team fantastic and i apologize to them ive not mentioned in the match report.
