Just to start by saying late Saturday night our captain Adam Watson decided to leave the team and i would like to say thanks on behalf of the players and myself and to wish him all the best in the future. I would to say the new captain is now Scott Woodford to take over from Adam Watson and the new vice captain is Ross Hampton-Brown. I would like to welcome todays opponents Team Gryphon to the moor, team Gryphon sit half way in this competitive league and should not under estimate them after the 2-2 draw at there place. After a good start by both teams, It was promising for us as we was edging it because of our forward line of Lee Green and Jamie Mowlem was coursing them massive problems, On 6 and 7min's the two lads went close only to shot wide, After a good move down the right hand side Sherf Zoghlami cross into Aaron Gutteridge who was on the 18yard box with his back to goal who then turn and fired into the bottom right hand corner of the goal 1-0 who then turned and ran like complete madman 60yards to celebrate if i remember right that was his first shot on target this season well done mate nice GOAL. After the restart Team Gryphon went straight to goal and received a free kick in a dangerous spot only to see it fly straight into our keepers (Ellis Cowler) hands who i must say had safe hands all afternoon, As the game went on we kept up the pressure and on 30mins was rewarded with the second goal after a ball over the top from our defense into Lee green with quick thinking released Jamie Mowlem ran towards goal and placed it beyond the keeper 2-0. I must the interplay play down the left hand side between Sonny Cook and Scott Woodford was excellent all afternoon, Half Time 2-0 The dressing room at the break was relaxed and upbeat, Sub Censen Yilmaz on for Sherf Zoghlami who had his best 45mins for the team so far , Censen Yilmaz unfortunately got booked for not telling the ref he was coming on as a sub unlucky £8 fine. We was fast out of the blocks in the second half on 46min's Lee Green had one on one with keeper only for the another missed chance, 54min's in Team Gryphons keeper kicked a goal kick straight to Lee Green who controlled the kick straight into the path of Jamie Mowlem 3-0 excellent finish. 65min's Lee Green had another excellent change ran through with the keeper to beat only to over control the ball keeper saved again, It just wasn't to be Lee's afternoon. SUB Jamie Minett on for Ollie Miller. On 70min's Lee Green was brought down in the box (penalty) up stepped Jamie Mowlem to score 4-0 Another HAT-TRICK. 75min's in Team Gryphon finally started to pressure us with and had a penalty given on 80min's which was harsh the ball was in the air Liam Bourke went to head the ball and missed and hit his arm on the way down instead and was converted 4-1. On 82min's Jamie Mowlem went close and on 88min's Lee Green went as well. FULL- TIME 4-1 Manager thoughts, The five lads at the back was absolutely fantastic all afternoon Ellis,Ollie,Bourkie,Cutler, Scott, As was the two mid fielders Aaron and Ross, A lot better all round a team performance. The nice thing is we are creating chances but importantly scoring them as well if not Lee then Jamie or both. Good team spirit. Excellent game all round. Finally to Sonny Cook who says he never gets a mention well done mate in the game today. TEAM Ellis Cowler, Ollie Miller, Scott Woodford (CAPTAIN), Liam Bourke, Adam Cutler, Aaron Gutteridge, Sherf Zoghlami, Ross Hampton-Brown, Jamie Mowlem, Lee Green, Sonny Cook, SUBS Censen Yilmaz, Jamie Minett. MAN OF THE MATCH Jamie Mowlem
